I am often asked about the tools I utilize in my daily practice or SADHANA to create the highest SELF and maintain a high vibrational frequency. This is a typical morning practice for me:
- The first thing I do when I wake up is brush, floss teeth and scrape tongue
- I use the neti pot to cleanse the nasal passage
- I sit down and AUM chant / meditate for 30 minutes
- I drink plenty of room temperature water with lemon / lime
- To move the body, I practice Surya Namaskar or Sun Salutation, a series of Asanas / postures, Anahata, Vishuddha, Ajna, Sahasrara Asanas to service the heart, throat, third eye, crown chakras
- I take a cold plunge, shower
- I practice self – oil massage or Abhyanga with room temperature coconut oil.
This Dinacharya, daily practice, is described in this video: Morning Ayurveda Routine.
Throughout the day, the 2 tools I use to alchemize energy are 30 minutes of either mantra chanting or Pranayama, breathwork. These tools or practices are effective in transmuting energies and preparing for gatherings / meetings.
To service the spirit – mind – body complex, my temple, I choose to swim and do mobility exercises throughout the week. I go dancing and play volleyball. I consume sattvic foods, fresh vegetables, fruits, legumes, grains, nuts and seeds.
My typical night routine is I brush, floss teeth and scrape tongue, I chant or do breathwork for 30 minutes and I listen to affirmations as I fall asleep.
I follow my JOY moment to moment.
